On Wednesday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle suited up in their winter gear and hit the slopes in Whistler. As a part of the 2025 Invictus Games One Year to Go events, the couple joined a group of veterans training for next year’s competition, which will be the first time that winter sports will be represented. Harry wore an Eddie Bauer jacket to brave the below-freezing temperatures, while Meghan wore sunglasses, a Calvin Klein parka, a white sweater and white skinny jeans, and a pair of boots by Sorel.

The One Year to Go event brings together a group of injured veterans for training camps to help them prepare for the upcoming games, and on the mountain, Meghan and Harry saw competitors training in alpine and Nordic skiing, snowboarding, and biathlon. Harry even got into a sit-ski to try out adaptive skiing for himself.

During the event, People spoke to Ivan Morera, a single-arm amputee who was injured while serving in Afghanistan, about his respect for the prince. “I have a lot of respect for Prince Harry,” he said. “I believe he understands the military personnel very well because of his experience in Afghanistan and his willingness to put his life on the line for his country. He has shown that to us by creating the Invictus Games, taking inspiration from the Warrior Games in the United States and creating an international competition.”

Earlier this week, the couple launched a new website to highlight their personal work, along with redesigns of the websites for their Archewell Foundation and production company. “The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, is shaping the future through business and philanthropy,” reads their introduction at the new URL, Sussex.com. “This includes: the Archewell Foundation, Archewell Productions, patronages, ventures, and organizations which receive the support of the couple, individually and/or together.”
